I have been having back pain for a while and have just noticed yesterday that I have a prolapse, it's very embarrassing and I can feel it at the entrance to my vagina..I'm 53 and after reading a lot of other peoples posts I'm even more scared.. i can't tell my husband, we have only been married to years, i don't know what to do

Get you your doctor stat! You may need surgery.

Hi, please don’t be scared. If you read up on it you’ll realise it’s more common than you think. I agree it’s difficult broaching the subject with your partner. I had to do exactly that very recently. Please do go see your doctor as soon as possible. There are various treatments for it, & you really don’t want it getting worse. Avoid lifting anything heavy in the meantime!

Hope you can find a way to tell your husband. Best wishes

No need to be embarrassed; it's just part of being female. No need to be scared; loads of us live with it and chances are you won't need anything drastic done. Best wishes.

Try not to be scared, prolapse is so very common, there are several things to try before thinking about surgery. I've had a prolapse for many many years and just manage any symptoms that crop up.

Hi I still haven't been able to get an appointment with my doctor, they are only seeing emergencies due to the corona virus

No I don't think so, only as an emergency. The pain isn't too bad
