Lower back pain

Hopefully someone can help me out.

The past week I’m having horrible lower back pain right above the butt crack area. And On the left butt cheek. It is felt more laying down. I have been able to get by but last night it radiated down both legs on my calf’s and thighs. Front and back. The pain had me in tears. I took another Advil and used a heating pad on my back and it got a little better but the back pain still persist. I tossed and turned all night because if I stay on one side the throbbing persisted. Using the heating pad again right now and both feet are tingling. I had this for a week today. It went away for a couple days and now it’s back. I first thought it was ovulation pain but now I’m unsure.

Been having very similar on right side. Agony, debilitating and have so much to do.

Try stretching and using a tennis ball to undo the knots maybe?

I’m so scared to stretch wrong! I was stretching my legs last night and it felt great. I was thinking a chiropractor maybe.

I have the same thing and have started seeing a chiropractor. Good luck!

I would really recommend seeing a physiotherapist. I have almost exactly the same type of pain and my physio examined me and identified muscle weakness in the glutes on my left side which then caused instability through my hip/pelvis. So every single movement I made was off balance, further exacerbating the problem and causing tightness and shortening of the big thigh muscles. She’s given me exercises to do and slowly but surely things are getting better. It’s been a couple of months and I still get flare ups of terrible pain (last night in fact) but that used to happen every single night.

Apologies if this doesn’t make much sense! I’ve got terrible brain fog and also my memory/understanding of the issue as explained by my physio is hampered by this! In short, I would recommend seeing a physio :)

It sounds like sciatica to me! Go and see your doctor! Massage can help with this but you also should see your doctor! Look after you xxxx

I have this but mine is because of Tarlov cyst disease, which most doctors dismiss. Only two specialists treat this in the UK. See your doctor to make sure your spine is ok if you have numbness and tingling. Hope you are better soon.
