Does anyone do sitz baths? Or Yoni steams? I just ordered a sitz bath because I think it would be nice to sit on after stretches, etc. A bathtub is too hard to sit in and all the time it takes to fill, get in and out of, plus cleaning it.
I also wanted to know what heating pads work for you? I use the BodyMed one that is pretty big. I like that you can set it to go off in 60 minutes or less and also set the temp. The only thing is they can last 2 months and stop working or could last a year+ Last one I bought I could tell by the control it was already going over my setting, so I returned it to Amazon. Bummer, I have had 4 of them. Any favorites? I also use a hot water bottle and I'm looking for a microwavable one I can take with me when I go out.
P.S. Everyone thanks for all your suggestions and help. My pain level is already going down.
I just started a sitz bath from I think it was either Amazon or ebay yes and they are great to have and really inexpensive... I also ordered a small portable heating pad that I can just tuck inbetween two pairs of underwear with the USB connection and it works really well for a couple of hours.... I was just wondering where your pain is ,...is it rectal vaginal or elsewhere?
Glad to hear the sitz bath works. Mine should be here soon. My pain is in the vagina and all up inside me, going to the stomach and going the other way to my anus and back. It has been worse than the normal horrible pain and it has me housebound, (I think it is because I have been stressed)...Where did you get the small portable heating pad?...Where is your pain?
My pain is mostly rectal and my physical therapist thinks it's the inferior rectal nerve which is a branch of the pudendal nerve but she doesn't think it's entrapment she thinks it's just very irritated from my tight muscles. .. the small heating pad with the USB connection I got from eBay but what I did was I just googled small portable heating pad with USB connection and they should come up it's just a little cloth with some wires in it but it's really light and easy and effective.
