A good cushion for pudendal neuralgia sufferer?

Hi, after four months of diagnosed pudendal neuralgia that isn’t going away, I am desperate for a comfortable sitting cushion. Have tried Thera cushion and doughnut cushions and have tried making my own cushion. Any good buys or clever inventions or better still, somewhere you can try out items to sit on? I am female, in the UK. Thank you!

Donut cushions and homemade cushions didn't help me either. Simple 2" to 3" memory foam seat cushions for kitchen chairs work for me! I use one in my car also. I hope this helps.

I liked the theraseat but lost two of them in my journeys. Decided to try a cheaper cushion and found the Purple brand seat cushions. It is a gel cushion and works pretty well for me.

Good luck!

I’ve tried a variety of cushions that have failed at helping me sit but I’ve recenyly purchased the twin cheeks cushion from cushion your assets and it’s been AMAZING. I highly recommend it. I got the extra firm model and it’s allowed me to sit for long periods of time without increasing my pain at all. I love it.

Are you male/ female? Considered this one, went for Theraseat, which I found far too hard.

Female. Ah yeah, I was reading up a lot on the theraseat but didn’t like that it didn’t have as many positive reviews from PN peeps. I really dig the twin cheeks because it’s adjustable and you have a pick of firmness. I personally like the extra firm but you have a few to select from.

After buying many different kinds, the one I like the best is called the folding twin cheeks cushion and it’s sold by cushion your assets.com

It’s made in such a way that you can adjust the width between the two side pieces to accommodate your anatomy and it will keep your entire perineal area from touching down on a hard surface.

I use a coccyx cushion in my car and at work. It doesn't have any pressure on the rectal area. Plus you can adjust the cushion as much as you need so as to not have any pressure in particular areas, such as the perineum. I use the Aylio Coccyx Orthopedic Comfort Foam Seat Cushion (found on amazon). It is not too soft (which troubles me) and after 3 years of use, has worn to be very comfortable. And I mean, I drive everyday so this got nonstop use. I got the same one for my work.

I have a Therapeutic Cushions Australia keyhole wedge cushion, for me it is very helpful. I used to use a back not but after knee surgery I got very fast and my bum was too big for it! If you're not big a back joy can be good, but either way the keyhole is great as no part of your genital area front or back or anus touches the chair. Good luck.
