I had hysterectomy aged 26 due to severe endometriosis. Fast forward 30yrs after having multiple corrective surgeries (13) I have adhesions on bladder, bowel, pelvis and abdomen.!!!

I have dysfunctional bowel and bladder incontinence all due to complications with adhesions. It feels like my whole abdominal area is stuck together causing painful tearing like feeling especially if I attempt to bend over or stretch, pain is all consuming.

Logical prognosis would be to have surgery to separate adhesions.......WARNING!!!! any surgical procedures leaves scarring. I had multiple separation surgeries after being told it would help with pain , it only gave me more adhesions and worsened pain!!

If I knew then what I know now I would not have had surgery. I have been told by consultant that my adhesions are severe and sadly they are unable to do further separation of adhesions as the risk of complications are high.

Please get the best advice/second opinion and research what options are best for you. Wishing you good health!!

Hi Skye , they done more bad then good when they got in our pelvics. My endo was a suprise when they opened up my belly so one doctor started enthousiastic with the surgery for 5,5 hours . He had to button me up and organise a special team together with a urologist and bowel stumach liver doctor. Its true surgery again is a big risk. Compassion lady i know your burden so well unfortunally .

Hi Skye, I feel for you, i also had a lot of laparoscopies 8 all up and one laprotomy , I have one particular area of the pelvis, that is real tender, i guess where bowel is stuck to uterus, and when it plays up, it,s extremely uncomfortable.

Hi Billiegirl it can stick together because of endometriosis or scars : i have after surgery scars and adhensions my urinary tube grown into my abdomen wall and i have two damaged nerves my bladder nerve and pudendus nerve.

My bladder bowel utueris and abdomen wall were all stick together with endometriosis they removed it but they cause even more trauma in my pelvic ; i can t sit normal anymore only on my knees on a yogabench.

What is your discomfort pain in your pelvic ?

Hi Willemine, i was told bowel was stuck hard to uterus, also bladder seems effected, when it starts to fill up, having to empty it to relieve it a bit, i seem a bit more fortunate than some of these stories i,m reading, i have my good days with not much discomfort, then some days its quite dragging and tender. Panadol doesn,t help at all, Do you know of any pain killer that helps at all?
