pudendal neuralgia
Have to done pelvic floor t?? What meds have you been on? I understand cbd oil helps and Botox in the area helps some people .. it's all pelvic floor dysfunction anyway no matter what they name it...and my physical therapist does pudendal nerve glides and she's really loosened up my pudental nerve... I think it was just stuck inside my muscles that were spasming
Michael, you need a guided nerve block to make sure it's your Pundendal Nerve. Ask your doc to refer you to local hospital and tell him/her what you want... take a list of your symptoms with you. Medication varies from person to person... but I take Amytriptelene 25mg of a night and I take 2x400mg Ibuprofen 3 times a day, 2 x 30/500 Cocodamol (for osteoarthritis) I've also recently started taking 3 x 400mg of Tumeric from Holland and Barrett and that seems to be helping. I'm going for a guided nerve block next week to confirm my PN. Good luck.
Good grief what a long time to be suffering. Commisserations. Why do you think it is PN?
I saw the God of gods dr 3 weeks ago of PN. He uses the Nantes scale amongst other things to diagnose it. 3 fundamental things I. 1. Does sitting on the loo seat or doughnut cushion alleviate it? 2. Does it stop when you lie down and so not keep you awake? Ans 3. Are you able to sit down. I scored 1 out of 3 on my test. He thinks I have something else and we are exploring that.
If you still think you have it. You need to be referred to the PN God Dr de Mello at wythenshawe hospital, manchester. People go from miles around to see him.
Keep us posted and good luck.
I had a terrible pudendal nerve compression injury BUT I couldn’t lie down.
At first I could but internal physiotherapy made it worse. After four treatments, I couldn’t lie down. I had metal Filshie clips on my rectum and behind my bladder. The physiotherapy made them move.
I almost died but decompression surgery saved my life.
Get the nerve block done.
Look on pudendal hope site there are some doctors in the uk that know about this problem i am from Holland and i surched also for doctors with know how
