Hi my name is private so you guys can call me Jessica.I’m dealing with PID. I was diagnosed last month in February and I’m looking for support because I’m really stressed out. I’m trying my best to deal with it. I was treated with Doxycycline and I was given tests for the issue. They said pelvic infection which is synonymous with Pelvic Inflammatory Disease and I just want to know, is it a disease? Or just an infection? I knew it was something wrong when everytime I’d have sex there was immense pain. I was like “this isn’t normal” and I have to pee all the time. It hurts to use the bathroom and I go multiple times a day. I hate being asked questions like I’m doing things wrong to my vagina and I hate being poked and prodded. Anybody else feel bad about being poked and touched? I hate pelvic exams it’s extremely painful on a scale of 1-10, I’m a 7 and I get extreme anxiety.

Hello I’ve had the symptoms for about a month and then I went to the doctor. After two weeks I have pain in my whole abdomen, I use the bathroom a lot, pelvis pain, can’t have intercourse at all. The doctor diagnosed me in February and I have another doctors appointment today. I’m waiting for my request to be accepted in the Facebook group. I have constant pain and I’m having a hard time going about my daily life. I hope you get some answers because I’m just hating what this is doing to me.
Hey
Did they found anything during the ultrasound?
Glad you got early treatment!! You will be ok!
Update on your appointment ya
Hugs
Hello Jessica I understand completely. I was diagnosed with PID and I am still in a lot of pain after a lot of treatment. I have those same symptoms. Just be sure to tell the doctors everything you are feeling even though I myself have a hard time saying everything. I hope things get better for you and that they figure out soon what is wrong.

Hi
I’m sorry for your pain dear.
May i know what cause your pain and how long you had pid?
Are you working? Do you have constant pain?
Sorry for the questions
I am working 2 days a week and going to school full time. However, I am in constant pain and my pelvis is always swollen.
I put a much larger post on the forum earlier going more in depth, but I got chlamydia and that’s what they believe started my PID. I got cured from chlamydia but not from PID. At least yet I believe. I have had PID since January. I am in pain not constantly but at least once a day, and if it’s not severe it’s just a very uncomfortable soreness.
Yeah me too! I just got a referral to a doctor and I’m picking up the extra form tomorrow. Because I need it. I’m going to see a gynecologist.
I hope your appointment goes well! As long as you stay proactive and try to make sure your gyno can take immediate treatment to prevent it from getting worse! And I get major anxiety during exams too, but of course we just have to remember that to get better we must put up with these things. I hope they will help you get back to feeling much better
I’ve never had chlamydia but I was tested for it. I’m super itchy due to a yeast infection I’m being treated for. Sadly, I almost had a panic attack during a pelvic exam because the speculum hurt very badly! And I’m really hopeful everything works out and they can give me a transvaginal ultrasound. I want to have kids one day, maybe biological. But I’m still okay with adoption as my number 1 choice.
