It's called "Dreamland intelliheat" only thing that has reached the main areas of pain in all the years I have suffered with this awful pain! X

Yeah they are great...I always use the heat pad before I go for more pain meds.

Thanks for the tip. Hard to predict if ice or heat will be most effective, until you experiment.

BEWARE ALL - A warning to all. Yes the heat pad is fantastic and helps a lot, in fact it is the only comfort I get for the pain in my butt as painkillers dont work. I bought 2 of these both from amazon uk. The first a Beurer HK which eventually stopped working and I had to get a replacement. This one works for 1.5 hours and only has 3 settings. I originally used this upstairs for my afternoon nap and it did a good job on either 2 or 3 setting so I bought down so could use a lot more on sofa in day and evening. When I went for hospital checkup he said I had like a burn rash on my butt - I do not make a habit of looking at my butt! When I got home I looked but I carried on using downstairs and bought the Dreamland intelliheat to use upstairs.

Anyway one day I found that the skin had started to come off my left butt in a tiny area. I think I had sat on the plug of the Beurer {which gets hot}, and I had to go to clinic and had to be treated for burn. I put away both heat pads and that was the end of my pain relief - that was last June. Anyway colour on my butt recently looked fairly normal and as still in loads of pain {waiting for botox in 2 weeks}, I decide to try using Dreamland pad on sofa in mornings when in most pain and on only setting 2 {it has 5 settings}, but after a couple of weeks I felt that the bit that had got burnt felt a bit tender. Loooked at butt and rash starting to come back, so unfortunately it has gone away again. SO PLEASE PEOPLE - DO NOT SIT ON PLUG, KEEP HEAT LOW -THATS A SHAME - AND KEEP CHECKING YOUR BUTT FOR A REDDISH BLOTCHY RASH.
