neuromodulation: Any one have any... - Pelvic Pain Suppo...
neuromodulation
I'm in the UK and have recently had a Nevro High Frequency spinal cord stimulator.
My posts will give you some idea odf the process here. I can't help you with an Ohio doc I'm afraid
Good luck with your research,
Shirley
I had Interstim put in October 2014 and it hasn't helped at all. I'll try a couple more stations but I believe I'm going to have it all removed as the battery implanted in my lower hip/back area is pinching and aching when I lie down. However everyone has different luck with that depending on your symptoms. My symptoms are mostly vaginal, urethral and bladder pain. I'm in CA
People have such different responses to these treatments, which include such a wide spectrum of interventions. My pain MD says that implanted spinal stim doesn't work as well with diffuse pain such as pelvic. But I have one friend with knee and ankle pain who was able to decrease her pain meds 1/2 and stop using crutches.
I need it to target the Pelvic area I had a bicycle crash, where I landed right on the seat basically with my Pelvic Floor Muscle..
Ouch!!! Good luck finding a skilled provider who can narrow down placement of he stim.
I don't know where really to start, but I'm going to Cleveland Clinic in March.
I would guess on PN nerve.
Who do you go to?
Don't have any specifics which may pertain to you, but have heard great reports about other specialties at Cleveland. Complex pain survivor since 2005, failed all injections and several surgeries. Rely on limited activity, bed several times daily, many lifestyle accommodations, body work, meds, mild walking twice daily, mild swim twice a week, mild stretching, CBT emphasizing problem-solving, reducing PTSD, mindfulness, and acceptance. Lots of gallows humor!
