Presacral neurectomy anyone?

I went for a consultation with this in mind two weeks ago which my endo specialist referred me to her colleague as he was the lead author in a major study which she was also part of. The results aren't clear and it helps some people but not others. The impression I was given that it isn't recommended because of the lack of evidence it works, plus the uterus has more than one nerve supply so the nerves they destroy might not be the ones transmitting your pain. In short it looks as though it will go the same way the LUNA procedure did which is now know to be totally useless. I think it's why there is a lack of info online about the procedure as I doubt many if any nhs trust carry it out. The end of the consultation was that they won't perform it at a major London teaching hospital which is also an accredited endo centre, you might get it done privately but I was extreme thankful to the professor for being completely honest with me and spending an hour of his time going over my options.
