The wounds are sore and painful but you will have padding and a bandage on them so fingers crossed.Good luck for surgery.

I had a 6 and half hour car journey after checking out of hospital .. I could not sit. So I lay down in back of car and my husband stopped half wY and we stayed in hotel and then started next day. Maybe by now you have had your surgery? I hope you stayed in hospital for more than a week before flying g home. Pls can you let me know how you are?

Many thanks. :-)

Yes you can I travelled home in the car after surgery took approx an hr. I would request seat with extra leg room and take a comfortable cushion to sit on

Hi, I flew back 8 day after and asked the cabin crew if I could stand for part of the flight. They were really helpful and let me stand in the bit where they make drinks etc ( I didn't get a free cuppa but you can't have everything)!

And Poppy's right, you could request a seat with more leg room if its available.

Good luck with everything, you'll be in good hands, just take it easy afterwards.
