I have been getting pelvic pain for months, it started early last year I have finally got the doctors to get me a scan but I don't know when, I'm in absolute agony not screaming pain but it hurts so much when I'm laying down and walking and sitting, can anybody suggest anything or shall I ring the doctor even at this time?

You need to explore pudendusl nerve entrapment especially if sitting makes the pain much worse . Unfortunately GPs seem to understand very little about this condition. You could contact Mr Greenslade Squire Bristol for a consultation if you are in the are. Good luck

Should read pudendal nerve entrapment. Google it first and see if it helps?

Hi I would go back to the doctor urgently and tell them the severity of the pain. Do you have any discharge / fever? It could be a pelvic infection and that can be serious if you have a tubo-ovarian abscess. Hopefully they can send you up to the hospital for some tests and some antibiotics if needed. Good luck. I just posted about having something similar and leaving it, needed an emergency op and was very ill. Not to scare you, just to assure you that these things can be serious. You are not wasting their time.

Are you a male?

If not, the intensity of your pain is related to your menstrual cycle? (It's always the same intensity during the cycle?)

It could be an infection, or yes it can be pudendal nerve or endometriosis (which is difficult to diagnose).
