Does anyone know about Nortriptilyne? I have painful bladder and severe pelvic floor spasms and am on it now at 10mg.

Im ambiguous because Ive been on it before and overdosed by accident causing a seizure. Now I noticed I have more trouble urinating and my pelvic floor tension has increased tremendously

Uribel and detrol also treat bladder spasms and they are not anti depressants like nortriptyline. I also take 1 mg xanax which calms down my whole body in about forty minutes. Its my wonder drug but it is addictive and causes drowsiness so maybe ask your doctor about those other meds.

if you are concerned then speak to your doctor about these problems as soon as poss. Perhaps other things might be of help, such as gentle massage or something?? i am reluctant to suggest anything other than gentle massage as i think physio and things can make it worse sometimes.

If you have become worse since going on this medication, then it might be that it is not the right med for you. Write down all the problems and let your doctor know all of them

ps a 10mg dose is not high enough to really have any effect on you mentally.To be used for depression, the dose would be a fair bit higher than 10mg. it may be that a different type of chemical could help you better. tell your doctor everything you can
