I was diagnosed with PBC in July 2021. I have been on Urso since my diagnosis. I take 600 mg daily. I had lab a week ago & don't have the results but I decided to quit the Urso. My liver enzymes has never gotten anywhere near normal. They have come down. I'm just stopping the Urso for a few months & then have lab drawn. I have GI problems so I will see if Ur so is the problem.

i have taken 1200 mg for the last several years and it has brought me back to normal. I had quit it for several years and the levels were high. When i went back on it at 1200 every thing leveled out. I was going through Mayo Clinic when i chose to restart it.

Urso is dosed by weight. 600 mg a day sounds like you’re being under dosed. Check with a pharmacist then get back with your doc.

That could be the reason you’re not seeing a change in your Labs.

only 600 mg? Sounds like you may be underdosed. Your Urso is dosed by weight. You can go by your Pharmacist and ask him about the correct dosage. He has the chart and all the info on Urso in his computer. That’s a little easier than trying to get into your doc.
