memory loss

since been diagnosed with PBC I have struggled with memory I didn't know if it was a side effect of the illness or the urso medication. The doctors aren't much help so anyone else's experiences would be good to know?

OMG! I am so glad we get to share what we go through. I too have been experiencing memory loss more frequently and honestly worries me some. Was not sure if the meds either or the diesease The othet day couldn't remember the Passcode to the door where I work at now this is an everyday code I use, for a moment there panicked. I do think it is getting worse. I started writing and taking notes and places post ot notes

everywhere to help me. Any ideas?

I went as far as having an MRI on my brain because of my memory. it didnt show anything but then started reading about the liver and gluten. gave up gluten in november last year and my memory has been great. noticed a difference after 2 weeks. My gp has offered to test me for gluten intollerence but as it would mean eating gluten again I have said no. not risking going through that again.

thanks for the responses i now know i am not going mad, i too take notes and write things down, also i have problems remembering dates and when to take medication etc so i set alarms on my phone to remind me. good idea about cutting out gluten i will try anything.
