I use and I've heard that washing the eye lashes and all with baby shampoo, is a good antibacterial. If you use mascara like I do, don't keep it too. It can cause this problem.

I have developed problems with my eyes. Turned out i had dry eyes and now have an eye drop/artificial tears which works really well. If you go and get your eyes tested tell them you have an autoimmune disease and eye problems and they will check them for you.
Like you I woke up with red bloodshot eyes, itchy, tired and sore etc. and they watered continuously and it never occurred to me that I might have dry eyes.
It could be sjorgens, another autoimmune that many people with PBC suffer from.
Yes, Lisac. I've been having rouble with my eyes for a few weeks now. The skin under my eyes, on my eyelids and at my eyebrows is very itchy and red. I thought it was from the scleroderma but maybe its from PBC. Also have a rash on my face - its itchy too. As are my elbows. I'd be glad to hear from someone who knows if this from Scleroderma or PBC. Best regards.

My wife who has PBC also suffers at random intervals from IRITIS. This appears as a bloodshot eye or with heavy red veins in the whites. Also may appear to be gray in colour in the whites. Blurring and soreness are also prevalent. This needs to be treated with an antibiotic eye drops as a 2 part set. Referal can be made by an optometrist etc.
Hey Lisa
I also have eye problems that flare up every few months or when my PCB is irritable, diagnosed with autoimmune Uveitis and its treated with steroid drops which I always keep a spare bottle of so I can catch it nice and early. Bloodshot eye that touches the iris is the indicator as is being sensitive to light and very painful, eneough to keep me up all night. The first time I got this i let it go for a good week thinking it might clear up but ended up at the out of hours doctor and then at the eye ward in the local hospital. I was on dilating drops for the pain for a week and the steroids I had to continue for 8 weeks, the earlier you catch this the better if there are your simptoms see your GP for a referral to the eye clinic at the hospital! Good Luck!
