So I know the research says, most 95% of people with PBC are AMA +......but what about the ones who are negative?? How did your Dr diagnose it? Also what about LFTs that are only mildly elevated?

PBC and AMA negative... how many of you are out there?
You and I have already talked about this, but just for the rest of the forum's benefit, I'll go ahead and chime in here. I am AMA negative and the only thing off in my blood work is mildly elevated ALT (fluctuates between 60-80). Therefore, I was diagnosed via liver biopsy.
Karen, u have a AMAZING Dr for him to recongnize PBC from a mildly elevated ALP! I know have a great Dr, but before him every damn Dr told.me it not not even possible to have PBC with a ALP of only 100.
Oh and ALT, mine is 70 but i have another test this friday
I am AMA negative, but my ALP was at the highest 600, since beginning Urso, it is now down to 170. My liver bipsy confirms PBC, had 2 liver biopsies, one year apart and both confirm PBC. Still trying to figure out AMA positive vs AMA negative??? Good, bad, doesn't matter????
What exactly did ur biopsy show?
