Brilliant news - well done for persevering through what must be a mountain of paperwork!

It's not been easy ,my GP wrote a letter for me,even I thought she was describing someone else and then I realised that I am as bad as she had described.

At least she tries to understand the disease

Hi, I am so pleased for you...I have been unable to claim anything, not even ESA..my DLA claim was refused and I am unwell every day..yesterday could not get out of bed....I have been told to appeal by friends, but I am not going to..it is not worth the upset......this way I don't have the added stress.......life is difficult enough with HASHIMOTOS/AIH/PBC overlap....

Well done, it's nice to have good news lol xx

I was refused the first time. I went citizens advice and a lovely woman wrote a letter for me describing my day to day life and she could see me. I sent this and was awarded dla for mobility and care. So don't think because you'll appeal means you have to do a medical. Also my friend was refused twice and she did exactly the same as me. Get help it works. Good luck

This was my second attempt I thought like you at first ,I have lost a lot of back money by not appealing ,I now it's frustrating and annoying and you have to battle against red tape and paper work,I was so lucky that my two friends and my daughter helped.keep the fight going connifused

Good news - well done! I got mine second time round, so everyone that failed the first time (the norm), take heart they often do back down if you persist.

What a relieve for you Neata........fantastic!

Way to go Neata! Even in the States one is usually denied in the first round. Just seems that they want to know if you are really serious about your "disability" or just trying to get extra $$. (?) So glad you got it.!! Yay!
