Arginine IV ?

Has anybody been given this in the hospital? It is an amino acid that I know is being administered in various liver conditions in Romania.

I believe that in prescription strength it's used to improve cardiovascular health and high blood pressure. In over-the-counter supplemental form it claims to cure almost anything from diabetes to infertility.
