Friday Fun Question
New Zealand, I'd always wanted to go there, and finally made it in my sixties. It was everything we'd dreamed of and now in our eighties I still think about the beautiful scenery and the people we met. Happy days
Without a doubt: New Zealand. Three glorious weeks driving from the south to the tip of the north islands have left us longing to return.
Every penny spent, every minute invested, and all the effort to master the narrow, winding roads were worth it, surrounded by the most spectacular scenery we've ever experienced.
Having traveled the world, we cherish our time in the uniquely beautiful Aotearoa as our favorite adventure!
New Zealand seems to be unbelievably beautiful. Funny that both of you said that destination was your favorite.
Happy New Year, Donna!
Yes, I noticed the other Kiwi lover. We’ve enjoyed many other gorgeous locales but there is something magical about the wonders of New Zealand. Not to mention, that the difficulty of visiting makes it somewhat less traveled and that adds to the appeal.
We also love the west coast of Ireland, southern France, and the Ligurian coastline. Costa Rica, Mexico, and Guatemala were all traveled in my youth when I still as SCUBA diving. Such beautiful plants and wildlife everywhere in those days and the friendliest, kindest people.
So many places still on our bucket list but time and energy is running short. The world is such a wonderous place no matter where we are.
Although I do love Northern Island and the Giant’s Causeway, my hubby and I are still drawn to the Florida Keys and reside in Key Largo for four months of the year. I love the tropical breezes and the color of the water….its climate is so different from the northeastern coast of New Brunswick, in Canada. And we have met and fallen in love with so many wonderful snowbirds. What a lovely adult playworld we have in the “wintertime”!.
About 5 or so years ago, we went to the Keys. Stayed in Key Largo but spent a wonderful day in Key West. What a wonderful place it is!
Wow, where in Key Largo? Also…does the humidity and heat mean i will get a rash? I just finished a fungus at home….
