It never occurred to me that I would want to spend the day with my parents. I was not close to either parent. My Mom and I were estranged for many years. Family situations can all be so different. I'm glad you had a good relationship with your parents.

Indeed Donna, always in my heart. I am sad that your mum was estranged but I suspect life gave you other gifts one of them being your wonderful ability to communicate.

I always tell myself that my Mom's gift to me was that it made me a better Mom to my 2 daughters. Thank you for your kind words.
