I can't believe it's already Thanksgiving! Doesn't the time go by fast?! I'm sitting here watching the Macy's Parade. So many memories watching this on Thanksgiving morning while my 'Nana' was busy in the kitchen cooking so much wonderful food. I can almost smell the turkey.. I remember her pumpkin pie with, of course, homemade crusts. She always made her own cranberry sauce with real cranberries and bits of oranges. Such good memories for me!
Today, as much of the world reflects on what they are thankful for, I hope you too can reflect on what this last year has brought to you even if you aren't celebrating the holiday. We all have those bad days - or even bad times in our lives -but for everyone I hope you find some ray of thankfulness.
I am certainly thankful for all of the wonderful men and women that I have met over the years since my diagnosis over some 40 years ago. These are folks I never would have had the privilege of having in my life if it was not for the support groups and The PBC Foundation. Some life long friendships have surely been forged with gifts of their friendship.
Today I hope you find a few moments to reflect on what you have to be thankful for. If you are going thru struggles and challenges in your life - even some real sadness - I hope you find a moment of peace. Just know you are never alone. As far as this group, never feel you can't reach out for the kind word or support. Never feel you are alone.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
