Bruising easily
It's so hard to know if something 'new' is a result of the PBC or not. I would suggest she gets her INR checked, PT (prothombin time), a PTT (partial thromboplastin time and a CBC (complete blood count. These 4 all measure different aspects of her clotting factors. It is an easy way to check to be sure.
I get a lot of bruising just by slightly touching a door frame , wall etc. I have my blood etc checked so there doesn`t seem to be a reason why. Sometimes I don`t remember what I hit but when I see a bruise I know I have!
Have you had tests done specifically for clotting factors? INT, PT, and PTT was what you need to have checked. Might not be a bad idea to get it done for a baseline and rule out any bleeding problems.
I get bruises more easily now. One of the blood tests Dr. Levy orders every year is for a clotting factor.
