Good morning or afternoon - as the case may be. First of all, please don't think I'm being neglectful in reading or responding to your posts here. Living in the US, my time is 6 hours behind you.
In reading so many of your posts, one of the common threads seems to be stress.... stress over lab results, family situations, job, symptoms, the itch or the fatigue. One of the things I found very helpful -and insightful for the members in my other group- was to ask periodically what they were doing to take care of themselves. What are you making time for ... self care is monumentally important in dealing with all we are asked to on almost a daily basis. Women are known to be care takers. Everyone else comes first.... we have to come to the realization that we matter too. We can't take care of others if we don't take care of ourselves. This can hard for some to believe, first of all. I'd just like all of you to think about the last time you did something nice just for you.
Just sitting maybe in that favorite chair, reading that book you've had, lunch with a friend, manicure, hair cut that was overdue.... there are so many things we can do for ourselves that we deserve. That's the key... believing we deserve them. Make time for yourself... you matter.
Please share with us what you have done for yourself lately.
