These are the Standard of Care Guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of PBC in the UK. Everyone, I hope, takes the time to read thru this paper written in lay terms so everyone can understand it. This included the testing and scanning suggestions as well. This may especially help newer diagnosed members to understand some of the basin information you need to know about this disease. Hope this helps in some way... all doctors should be following these Guidelines. If you feel your doctor is not following them, please have a conversation with them. These guidelines are written from a collaboration of experts from around the world. We all need to know we are getting the care we deserve. Advocating for ourselves is something we all need to be doing when we question anything about our care.
