I saw that the treatment in some countries is very expensive and also that all test procedures must be done by appointment after some time.
I think that we have to know the costs of the treatment and tests in all the countries. This may help persons with pbc that do not afford to treat themself in the country of origin.
So i am from Romania and the costs are:
-Urso 250 mg (ursofalk) 100pcs - about 25 euro
-fibroscan 50/60 euro
-mri 200-250 euro
- 3month test: ast/alt/ggt/bilirubin direct/indirect /trigicerid/cholesterol /AMA, etc :40 euro
-dr evaluation 35-55 euro
-ultrasound 25 euro
Best of luck to all

The best thing in Romania is that u can make any procedure: Mri(Rmn) ultrasound, fibroscan or any blood tests imediatly.U don't need to wait
Very good prices, I’am from the uk so treatment is funded but we can’t just choose what tests we have. Would those costs be the same for citezens outside of romania.
For example i can do my blood tests free at the state hospitals but i always chose private clinic to do them.
I go to Synevo and for regular :
Alt/alt/ggt/cholesterol/bilirubin/ trigliceride/Ama etc i pay 155 ron( 1euro is 4.65 ron and i us$ is 4ron)
This cost is for everyone no matter where they are from.
Like Synevo we have olso Medlife, Regina Maria, Sanador wich all are private clinics. My Mri is from Sanador or Provita
For example a Mri for the Knee at Provita is about 600 ron( 135 euro/150 $)
Before my Ama was discovered i saw about 4 ProfesorDrs and at state hospitals and private clinics but they did not make the Ama Test.
3 -5 years i had high liver enzimes and cholesterol before a non profesor dr (only Dr) discovered my Ama and made the corelation with Pbc.This dr was from Sanador
In La Cruses, New Mexico are very inexpensive compared to most states in this country: MRI w/contrast, out of pocket $340.00. Depending on how many labs Dr Berkson ask for, labs cost me 300.00 out of pocket. New Mexico has separate facilities for test, no wait time.
so u take 1000 mg of urso 2x500 per day and for 90 days u only pay 40$? Cost per month is 13.3 $ for urso 1000 mg every day?is this cost for anybody who goes to by urso or u have document from dr wich make the price to be lower than normal?
Prices in US vary for patients depending on what insurance coverage person has. Insurance premiums also vary depending on coverage. Healthcare in the US is expensive & without uniformed prices.
