foods to avoid and/or eat to help with itching?

I used the choly. powder previously but not now. I am on urso (about 6 months as diagnosis was January this year after a bunch of missteps) and for a while the itching really subsided but it is returning and I am finding it interfering with my life (and the wearing of a swimsuit!) I kept a journal of what I was eating etc to see if I could see any pattern, but I could not. I would take the powder again if it is my only choice but wanted to try messing with my diet first in case that works. I drink lots of water, and mostly plant diet, really monitor salt and sugar. I have no other conditions other than PBC (at least so far). All suggestions welcom

I am a PBC itcher, it also interfered with my life until I could stand it no more. I too was started on colestyramine but it did not remove the deep distressing "itch". After some trial and error I was prescribed Rifampicin, Sertraline and colestyramine which got on top of the itch and I started to enjoy my life again. The specialist has many tricks in his bag and there are new treatments being studies and hopefully will get approval for use soon.

I too found out I had PBC about 8 months ago. I’m 59 and found through blood labs. On urso as well. I’m trying to learn as much as I can about the condition and this platform has a lot of good information and people like yourself who are willing to share and help. Thank you.
