Diagnosed with pbc in October, started staking urso mid October, had a bad bout of biliary colic due to gallstones in November. Just had some bloods done ready for my 3 month check mid January. Looks like all but my ggt have come back into range. Ggt was 311 in October, now it's 64. Is it something to be concerned about? Am I a non or partial responder or is it too early to tell. How long did it take for your results to come back into range?
Just to add to this, I am on medication for IBD, and while they are delayed release capsules that open in the colon, they are a form of NSAID.
Thanks for any insight!

I believe in the UK the time given to know if you are a responder or not is usually about the year round. Are you a member of the PBC Foundation? If not it is free to join and they have a good deal of useful information on their web site.
Additionally the PBC Foundation host a regular Q&A session with professionals in the field of PBC. This week on Thursday at 1400 hours UK time Professor David Jones is the guest specialist. If you email your question into the Foundation they will put your question forward so that you can have a more definitive answer.
On a personal note my last blood test which included ggt was 47 over a laboratory range of 0-38 so it would seem that you are going in the right direction.
My doctor only check ggt at diagnosis and it was out of range. I asked him why he does not test on that, he said it is not one of the tests he monitors for pbc but was helpful for diagnosis. And he said with pbc, ggt could be out of range. He mainly looks at alk phos and the other liver function data.
