I had an ablation in mid January and was then put on a beta blocker plus flecanide and zarelto. My LFT's 10 days later had gone up. For the past 10 years my GGT has been around 70 and the range is <40 last one was 92 and alk phos is usually 135 and range is 35-105 and last one 183. Just wondering if there is anyone on these drugs and if they affect your LFTs. Many thanks

GGT AND ALK PHOS INCREASING
Hi Gwelos
It seems that none of us have been able to reply. I guess it will need an answer from your specialist or maybe a contact with the PBC Foundation will get you an answer.
Best wishes
Hi Gewlos,
I had an experience with my alkphos recently that surprised me. I sprained my ankle pretty badly and had my blood tested the next day (end of year insurance reason...). My alkphos had jumped from 185 to 255 in 2.5 months. That is very uncommon for me. And we had upped my URSO dose during tgat time as an experiment.
So... I googled it and found that bone trauma (a bad sprain can qualify, since it's a partial dislocation) can show up in alkphos results. The number is still coming down after 1 month (now at 205). My medical team never mentioned this correlation before.
I wonder if LFT numbers can cross correlate to other trauma too. I hope that you get an answer soon. I know how tough it is to wonder.
I hope it all works out as you want. Keep us posted.
