If you have PBC, yes, you will be on meds and see a specialist or GI for the rest of your life. I get bloodwork done every 3 months. Urso keeps my enzymes down, but my AK is still a bit high.

My VERY favorite quote is: “ You will not die from PBC, you’ll die simply having it”.

It’s a very slow moving disease. You are not in the boat alone.
