First step is to completely remove refined sugar from your diet. Any kind of sweets, such as candies, sweet rolls, cakes, ice-cream. Instead, eat low sugar berries, like blueberries, and other low-sugar fruits. In the winter, you can frozen berries. Don't drink milk. It has a lot of sugar naturally. Boric acid vaginal caps work well. Use them as needed. More during flareups, occasionally, in between. Look for treatments that will work for you, with your doctor. Nystatin compound made into suppositories by local pharmacy helped me quite a bit. It was an Rx order. Fluconazole tabs didn't help me at all. None of the other usual yeast infection creams worked. Good luck!

Yogurts, like Greek, with no sugar added, are very healthy, but, unfortunately, did nothing for me in terms of the yeast infection.

To add to the suggestions from iagra you might like to try to increase your gut flora for a totally holistic approach. This can be done by introducing fermented products like natural Kefir and blueberries (which I take in the morning with porridge for breakfast), watch out for the sugar content some Kefir products are higher in sugar than others. There are also supplements that you can try such as ProVen probiotics - this was recommended to me by a nutritional therapist. I hope you find the right balance for yourself.

I took, what is considered one of the best probiotics VSL#3 available, on recommendation of my doctor to help fight my chronic yeast infection. I religiously took it for 4 months, every day, three times a day. There was zero benefit in terms of yeast infection or digestive improvements from VSL3. I stopped taking it after 4 months. I was purchasing at Costco, I think I needed a prescription for it. You have to keep it in the fridge.

I try to stay away from sugar, but, that's about all. The biggest help I got from boric acid caps and NyStatin vaginal compound.

Check your sugar intake. You could be pre-or diabetic. A lot of of people with Liver problems become insulin resistant and it makes them diabetic.

When I used to get lots of yeast infections my doctor suggested I take acidophilus pills, which you can get at health food stores/grocery stores in the vitamin section.

Hi, I used to have a lot of kidney infection and I also took all of the stuff that others have taken. I had some kidney stones and the Dr. took out all the big ones and had left a tiny one , he said he didn't think I would have trouble passing it but I did. I would hurt so much at times and felt like I had a kidney infection so I guess one day I much have passed it because the infection stop and now doing ok. If you have kidney stones they will give you a infection mine did.

Happy Halloween! We girls do have our challenges, especially as we age. I fully agree with the boric acid vaginal caps. Works wonders. The full treatment is about 2 weeks. I use a vaginal probiotic from Garden of Life. I also take a cranberry capsule. No more itching, burning in hooville for me. Hope you find lasting relief. Be well

Hi! I have the same problem. Have you got rid of it by now? I would be grateful if you could share some information. By now, I used boric acid ovules and I kept the candida diet for the last month: zero sugar, probiotics, proteins, kefir, chia and flax seeds, coconut oil, no pastries or bread, no fruits (only avocado, pomegranate and a few pieces of kiwi, oranges), ginger and echinacea tea, garlic, no coffee. I feel better, no symptoms, but I am not sure if it is gone. I would like to hear other suggestions. Thanks!
