Hi I've been diagnosed with Pbc along with Sjogrens for over 2yrs. I am an Urso responder. My last blood test showed my ALP in normal range and ALT slightly high. I was very pleased but I now have slightly low platelets 126, norm 150. I don't understand why I can have a normal ALP and then this happen. I have to have more bloods and a fibroscan to check for further stiffening of the liver. I was only stage 1. Has anyone else had this problem ? Thanks

Hi Beatrice I have the same my understanding is that the liver controls Vit K for clotting and this gets mucked up with us.
So we don't always produce normal blood cells. Sounds like your Drs are aware that is the main thing .
I have had it for about 3 years now. I do get bruise easily and have bleeding under my skin when l scratch . But that has only come on recently. I am 69 and diagnosed with PBC in 2008.. l have only just stopped working.
Take care and hope you get your answers soon
