Hair loss and PBC

Has anyone suffered hair loss as a result ot PBC or Urso?

Yes, saw dermatologist and have been diagnosed with lichen Planopilaris and female pattern hair loss. LPP is another autoimmune condition

Hi Since taking URSO my hair is falling out dramatically, especially after hair wash, I think it may be side affects to URSO , as i have had PBC for a few years ) just didn’t know i had the disease) but hair loss and severe dry eyes after being on URSO.

But I am still grateful to URSO as it brought my LFTs down.

Yes I have. My hair used to be so thick and I had so much of it. Now it’s so thin and I find hair everywhere. When I brush it so much comes out too. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I hate this disease so much

Yes it's absolutely awful. Are you taking/using anything to combat it?

Yes, I had hair loss too. I take biotine for that and it helps

Yes. Especially in the beginning but it tapered off finally and I started taking vitamins for hair loss and other measures that can help with hair loss. Most of it grew back in.

I have lost most of the hair at the front and about an inch above the side hairline on both sides. I have tried 1. Scarves, headbands, hats & caps, then 2. Wigs, then 3. Shaving my head and 4. Back to all of the above. I’m resolved that part of my PBC has caused my hair to fall out. Worst part of it for me. Although itching and fatigue are no picnic, they are much less obvious to strangers.
