I am thinking of going on a very low calorie diet (800 calories, medically supervised, meal replacement). Is this thought of to be safe with PBC?

Hi, I haven’t done meal replacement but I am starting my 6th week of doing the Fast 800. I eat 800 calories a day following a Mediterranean diet, cut out sugars and processed food. I have lost 17lbs and feel great. Before I started I checked with my hep and they said it was okay. I get my bloods done every 4 weeks and they have remained the same. I plan to do 1 more week, then continue to eat the same without counting calories. I ve never eat so healthy before. I would check 1st with your Dr and Good luck x

Check out teamrh on Facebook, I struggled to lose weight after diagnosis, this is a game changer. They set your calories, I lost 26lbs on 1800 calories a day, so you don’t starve, down to a size 12. Good luck.

It took roughly 5 months, I was losing about 1-2lbs per week. They set your calories depending on whether you can exercise or not with targets for protein, fibre etc but more importantly they educate you. Worth following on Facebook to see the results, you can then make an informed decision. 😊
