Cupping : Hi just wondering if anyone has... - PBC Foundation
Cupping
I haven't tried this, but i have tried dry brushing. I didn't really follow through with it because i have so many rituals as is, and i'm also insanely busy with school and work but it did feel pretty good and energizing. I also know that rebounding helps a lot.
Do we want to boost our immune system, as that is what is attacking us.
"When we have an autoimmune disease, it's already clear that we don't have a properly functioning immune system. Some people erroneously believe that because the immune system goes into "overdrive" with autoimmune disease, that they have a properly functioning -- but overzealous -- immune system. Actually, autoimmune disease is a sign that the immune system is already dysfunctional. People with autoimmune disease frequently are more susceptible to infection, catch more colds and flus more easily, and take longer to recover. These are all signs that the immune system is not functioning optimally. "
Found this and thought I'd share it. I have had cupping in the past by a highly revered TCM acupuncturist. Cupping will help balance the body along with pinning and TCM treatments often done in a session. There are also many safe supplement we can take to help ward off other medical issues. If our immune system is truly compromised, then we are going to be more suseptiable to the myriad of virus/bacterial infections on this planet.
Hope you find the answers you are looking for. Be well
Thank you for your reply, I have booked so fingers crossed will post again with the results. Take care
I feel better in general when I go to acupuncture (mine includes cupping) every 3-4 weeks. Sometimes it helps specific ailments, other times I just feel like my energy is balanced. I’ve had immune issues for longer than I’ve had PBC. I have found that overstimulation (over exercising, over working, too much excitement) “fires up” my immune system in a negative way but “immune support” vitamins like B complex and vitamin C help a lot. I listen to my body. Rest is number one. Not overeating and not snacking is very important too. That’s a different kind of way to rest the body.
Hi Lisabette thanks for getting back to me. Yes I know what you mean if you over exercise, it is frustrating as you want to do more but you know there will be consequences.
I have had my cupping a couple of days ago didn’t feel well after it, but hopefully, feeling it may have helped to early to say yet fingers crossed.
