They are switching me from nexium to Protonix.... does anyone else take this drug?

Hi

I was on protonix 20 mg for 3 months and had no problem. However after reading that ppi's aren't great long term decided to come off them. They definitely helped with burning stomach acid though

Yes I take protonix. I've been taking it for 5 yrs now. I have GERD real bad to where it actually damaged my vocal cords. They usually only prescribe it short term due to some side effects. However, my dr. Chose to keep me on it because the benefits out weigh the side effects in my case.
