PBC - High results

Hi everyone, apprx. 2 years i can not decrease my test results.

Some of them are ;

AST: 58

ALT: 104

GGT: 194

ALP :268

I'm using Ursactive, lipanthyl,

2 years ago when we get the AMA+ result, i start only Ursactive first 2-3 months all the results are down but after we didn't control it.Does anyone have an idea to use another alternative medicine.Last week we decide to make a biopsy and get the resutls, it confirms the PBC but there is no damage now..

When you look at your results are there any parameters to guide you on the actual results. Different countries and laboratories use different high and low markers

If Ursactive is a brand name for Ursodeoxycholic acid and you are not responding then an alternative treatment is Ocaliva.

It is good that no damage can be seen on the biopsy. With treatment a healthy diet avoiding all hidden and seen sugars reducing salt one would hope that you have a good outcome ahead.

For an example:

My ALT is 55 parameters 7to35

ALP 137 parameters 30to130 this one was better than before

Total bilirubin 7 parameter 3to20

We are all different and results from blood test will vary and fluctuate.

Are you using ocaliva only? Or how did you decrease the results?

Just URSO for me fortunately which seems to have worked.

Hi Bozcan,

I was also a non Urso responder- it worked so far then alp numbers wouldn't budge below 300. Started OCA (Ocaliva) with Urso, last August and alp is now at 173 (I'm taking 10mg since Feb).

Maybe try that....I am lucky as have not had any side effects, itch being the main one. Good luck!

Next week i can find ocaliva from usa and try it.If i can decrease my test results it can be a risk again sirosus?or i can live without any problem?
