PBC Foundation App

So, I am writing to you on the subject of the app, once again.

I hope you have already joined the PBC Foundation (for free) and have downloaded the app.

If you are already using it, what do you think?

If you are not using it, why not?

When we put the app together, we didn't include a feedback machanism!! So, the next version of the app will have a way to give us feedback. In the meantime, we just need to ask you how you are getting on with it...

Would love to use the app. Is it available for use in South Africa?

It is available for free to anyone who has joined the PBC Foundation so yes, it is avalable in South Africa.

Hi Robert. A timely reminder for me. I'd forgotten I had it on my phone! I usually store all my blood test results on a spreadsheet but I'll have a look at that on the app as it would be handy for when discussing with either the GP or Doc in KCH. I'l make sure and feedback to you if any suggestions come to mind. Thanks again for this. Adele

It also has a reminder section where you can type in your questions (and answers!!)

Hi Robert.... just tried to access the app but getting an internal error message. Looking at some of the reviews on Googleplay it looks like I''m not alone. I'll check it again later and uninstall and reinstall. Adele

As far as I am aware, we sorted those issues back in October.

Maybe contact us directly just to make sure all is as it should be...

Hi Robert - I've just downloaded the app on my iPad . It's asking me to sign in so I am assuming at some time I must have signed up for it on a previous device. I cannot remember my sign in details so am stuck. Help!!! Eileen

Feel free to contact me directly.

When you joined the Foundation, you were given an unchangeable user name and password. If you have forgotten this (It is the same one that you use to log in to the Foundation website), we can help.

Hi Robert

I use the app on Android. I am not overly good at keeping it up to date but I up date information occasionally. It would be good to have a neutral smiley face as going from happy to embarrassed does not really fit in with daily emotions for me. As a member in my 60s getting on with new technology can sometimes be a challenge but in a good way, so for me it will be a case of getting into the habit of using the app and becoming familiar with its uses. I do believe having the compendium at the touch of a button is most useful. The facility to give you feedback from the app will be useful.

I have the app, but can't remember my password so can't get in. I tried to reset in the settings of this site and it won't let me. Can you please help me?

Hi Robert - I also just tried to sign in with login I joined with and it failed. Is there a way to reset password or request a link to the old one?

The login for here won't work.

You need the login details to the PBC Foundation website. Contact me directly if we can help.

I have used the log in details sent to me when I signed up for the pbc foundation but it still won't let me sign in. Keeps saying internal error.

I put my results in the app but when I looked for them days later, they were not recorded.

Also when I click on Compendium, there is nothing there, just a blank page. Where am I going wrong!

The compendium is an 80 page document. It might take a while to download.

Keep it open and it will download in time. It will be quicker on wifi.

Re your results, I don't know but do contact us and we'll see if we can help.

So, the internal error wasn't an internal error at all!!

It was a server error with our IT guys. However, IT HAS BEEN FIXED!!

So, you should all be able to download and use the app.

I'll keep an eye in here if you have issues. Feel free to message also.
