Does anybody know if its ok to take Risondrate with pbc Risondrate is for strengthening bones and I was taking it before being diagnosed with pbc when I was on steroids for my lupus I was prescribed it as a precautionary measure to protect my bones. I do take a calcium supplement.

Hi kingsnorth43. I have no experience but I used to take vitamins while in Urso, it was OK but it has to be at different times best it you leave 2 hours between them shoul be fine, I think.

I too Ibandronate to treat osteoporosis for several years. I think it is the same thing just a different brand. When I was diagnosed with Pbc no one said I should not take it so I guess it is ok. However you could ask the Pbc foundation, they will know for sure. 😃

They usually say check with your consultant!! I think I will start taking it again I do take adcal once a day im also on HRT and have just asked the gp if they will let me have patches instead of tablets ive stayed on HRT even though im 67 as a protection for my bones. Im getting paranoid about food and meds now feeling stressed.com!!

My GYN did not like to give hormone pills because of it going through the liver. I wore Vivelle Dot for 12 yrs. I finally weaned myself off due to breast cancer risks in my family. But I felt better on hrt for sure.

Don't get stressed, just check it out. Even pharmacist could probably advise whether it's ok to take. 😃

I was just told by the endocrinologist doctor on my transplant team that he wanted to treat my osteoporosis with an annual infusion of Reclast. Needed to bypass GI tract due to some small varices. Wouldn’t hurt to check on it again.
