I went into my primary physician and had the Comprehensive ANA drawn. Also got a look at the AMA results. It was high, but had to see for myself, I guess. Now, to wait on the results. Hoping it’s not Lupus. Anything else I can deal with, or try to deal with it.
Y’all are a good support system.

Stay positive in the waiting period (easier said than done sometimes) Hope the results get to you before the weekend. Do you have online access to test results?
I never heard from the nurse, so that means I have to make that ride. The nurse did say that the doc is thinking I have sjorgens disease, but I hope not. With my titer being 1:1280, I’m beginning to think I have I something serious.
Gatorlin...my titer is higher than yours. I haven’t gone to a rheumatologist as of yet. My Internist says possibility of schleroderma. I have all the medical I can afford right now, so I’m waiting it out. Have no symptoms of anything yet. Try not worry too much until you know more. (I don’t practice what I preach, lol!) 🤗
I must be misunderstanding all the sites I go on. It indicates that mine is very high. Anyway, I’ll find out when I see him next week. Any positive ANA is serious. You need to bite the bulletin and see a specialist. Keep in touch, and I’ll update when I can.
I am being as hopeful as I can. I do not have access to the labs through this doctor, but I will be calling them in a few days if I don’t hear anything. Thanks for the encouragement!
I will Eileen. Afraid there are not a lot of distractions, but I try to stay busy. Thanks for caring!
Yes, this is the most caring and supportive group of people I've ever seen. Even though it seems we're seeing more and more dx with pbc, it is still a rather rare disease. I think it's really great you seem to be able to ask any kind of question on here and there is always someone to come back with some comforting words and/or advice. Happy New Year to all and wishing everyone good health in the coming year.
No, it’s high, and positive. For homogenous, likely Lupus. I am still waiting on more labs. I think I’ll call them tomorrow to see if they received them yet. I guess your lab reports are different?
In reference to your lab, anything above 140 is suspicious. Since your lab showed >160, it means you tested positive. The numbers keep doubling the higher you present positive.
Ok, well as I understand it, the higher the number on the right side, the more your chances of being positive. And since I was homogenous it is
indicative of Lupus. However, it could still not be Lupus. Women my age sometimes appear to be positive, and may not be. I do have a lot of the symptoms, which concerns me. I’m so glad I have y’all as a support system!
Well, I am so aggravated. My labs have disappeared that they just drew. Now the rheumatologist wants me to come to his office, 35 miles away, to have them drawn again. The nurse says that the other nurse was wrong in sending me the order. He always wants to draw the labs in his office. So, another week will go by before I can get my lab report. Anybody have these staff problems?
I don’t think it will happen again, and I am going to make sure the nurses know what they are talking about this time around! Nobody’s perfect, but telling the wrong info to a patient is not a good thing. Hope i
