Sorry about all the blood work! I totally understand your frustration. What I've been doing is having my Hepatologist run all the tests I need & bring copies to my other doctors. Told them I don't want to have my blood drawn needlessly. But this only works if you know what blood work your other doctors might require.

Good luck with biopsy.

Just had 10 viles of blood taking today from 2 doctors one is a pre-op before the liver biopsy which is fine and the other is the rheumatologist because my sedimentation rate and CRP is high and my lyme test came back negative and gout came back negative and RA

came back negative so he's testing for a lot of different things whatever lol

10 is a bit much! Wow. So sorry. Better eat lots of nutritious food to make more blood.

But sounds like your doctor is thorough & looking out for you.

It's 2 different doctors testing one is liver specialist other rheumatologist I'm from NY to I'm in CT now but actually moving back to NY are u in city or suburbs

I am in the city. If you are in market for nyc doctors, there are exceptional doctors here. & there are lots of specialists to choose from. Each hospital has a liver unit within their GI unit.

First you should find a pcp that you trust & like. He/she will manage your overall care. & they can refer you to the specialists. I usually just go to the doctors that the PCP recommends. Very seldom do I dislike any of the suggestions.

Hang in there. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Not what you're looking for?
