BLOOD TESTS

Hi hope all keeping well are any of you having your bloods done before appointment dates with Consultant had a call from Q E today no bloods being done in liver clinic got to attend one of the blood units set up , are liver clinic appointments being cancelled got mine Dec 7 th at Q E my last appointment was a chat with Consultant over the phone no scan appointment either the last 3 cancelled many thanks x

My next appointment atQE is a telephone consultation again in March 2021 . Last time I had my liver function tests done at the doctors before the consultation ( by mr request) so I had something to talk about. I will do the same in March.

I cant remember the last time I had a scan! It wasn`t suggested when I spoke to the consultant. I think I am doing pretty well and have no concerns about PBC. I hit 80 this year, diagnosed 20 years ago, so appreciate being one of the "lucky" ones. I had been a 24/7 carer for my husband after a devastating stroke for the last 2 years, he had a second in August which he didn`t survive. I had had little time to think of myself as his needs came first so considering what I have been through I was pleased my results were little changed.

Everyone has a different story but we all travel in hope!

Hi Cavi

Only had telephone appointments with QE, had my bloods done locally as I live in South Wales. Did have a us scan there bout 4 weeks ago. Already had call from consultant to discuss things.

I had bloods done before my appointment in September, mine was telephone consult too. Luckily I work in same hospital so a colleague did my bloods day before my consult. I have a face to face appt now been arranged in January.

I had a telephone appointment at another London hospital beginning of October , Consultant arranged a blood test (by appointment only ) for the following week and an Ultra sound ,she then sent a letter with the results to me. Just waiting for my Fibro Scan appointment now. For me it was such an easy experience, no waiting and less travelling time, I actually preferred it.

I always have bloods done at my GP surgery in the week before I’m due to see/speak to consultant.

I was due for my annual appointment at the hospital in Feb but no sign of it happening any time soon! My consultant always gives me a blood test form at my annual appointment to use about a week before my next trip to see him, so it's gathering dust on the shelf while I wait!

Same here. I am overdue for my yearly check-up which should have been in September.
