I haven't been on in a while. So I had a follow up appointment and my levels are not coming down like the dr hoped. I had an EGD last Wednesday and it showed I have esophageal varices. Does anyone else have it? And what do I need to expect? Im still nervous about the whole PBC thing.

EGD?

We have a lot of information to help re varisces. Have a look at the PBC Foundation's website and sign in to the members' section where there is a LOT oif info.

In short, most varisces are treatable before anything happens. Detection is the key. They can be "banded" or medicated.

I hope this helps. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any specific questions.

Robert.
