I have only been told following blood tests that I have PBC. I am 68 yr old retired nurse. Have had liver scan (awaiting results) and am waiting to see Consultant. Have had hypothyroid for 25yrs
The fatigue is terrible and reason I went to Dr in the first place, also nausea which is worst in the morning.
Any advice welcome! Thanks.

I was diagnosed with PBC five years ago at the age of 73. It was found after a routine Health check. I, like you had been feeling nauseous and tired but hadn't been to my GP. I think that the nausea cleared up after I started taking Ursodeoxycholic which is the usual medication prescribed for PBC, although there are other meds. now available. My advice is listen to your consultant, try not to worry too much and try to live as normal a life as possible. You'll find lots of support on this site, and it isn't always as bad as you think. Take care, we're all thinking of you.
