Good After all.

Had the liver biopsy on Thursday got to say it wasn't that bad but would not like to repeat it.

Horrendous pain in the shoulder and neck more or less straight away and found it uncomfortable to breath in. Took it easy the day after.

Waiting game now for the results but will finally know what treatment they are going to do.

Me too! Only I was out when they did mine. I had an ERCP and biopsy of my liver at the same time. The ERCP came out great. They found nothing. That unidentified 1cm mass in my main bile duct that the MRCP showed was non existent when he did the ERCP!! Now, just waiting for biopsy results. The ERCP procedure kicked me into pancreatitis though. Was in the hospital Thursday-Saturday. Better today, and resting at home. Keep me posted on your results.

Snap! ERCP procedure gave me pancreatitis too and I spent 4 days in hospital before I discharged myself. Biopsy was a doddle after that - done with just a local anaesthetic in my side and minimal discomfort.

Hello sunshine,

I remember my first and second liver biopsy. Hurt but not that bad. My hepatologist pbc specialist said I'll not need liver biopsy anymore and that MRI does a better job in tracking pbc progression.
