Hi, I was admitted to hospital last August which I was informed I had acute pancreatitis and had lost 40% of my pancreas in the process. Just wondered if this was the correct forum to be on or was there another one I should join. Thank you for your time on reading this xx

I hope that you are feeling a bit better now. It sounds like a dreadful illness. This forum is for people who have Primary Biliary Cirrhosis. There might be other forums on health unlocked that deal specifically with pancreas related illnesses - if you use the wee search box above the pbc foundation logo, you might be able to get some forums up. Good luck

Thank you for your quick reply. I have looked around in the search box but haven't been able to find anything but thank you anyway.

try facebook - I found this one but I haven't looked to see if it is any use. If you haven't got an account, they are simple to set up. There's a few PBC forums on there and I've been able to learn alot from them hopefully the Pancreatitis ones are just as good.

Hi Tracy - I was hospitalised for a month 2 years ago with severe acute necrotising pancreatitis. I found the following forum: pancreatitis-forum.org. UK

Most of the contributors on this site are pancreatitis sufferers and have a wealth of information and support. Hope this helps.
