No, but I have higher calcium levels than I should have. GP said, You're gonna be around a long time. That's nice to hear. Sometimes I wonder if what is considered high is just high normal for me.
I know I was tested for copper back in 2010 prior to being diagnosed with PBC and that apparently came back ok.
I didn't find out about this test I had as I thought the final one the GP did prior to me going to see a hospital consultant was the AMA as he never said, just muttered something about a final blood check at the time. I never got result of that from the GP so asked at the hospital what the final test was the GP did to be informed it was for copper.
Copper can be to detect Wilson's Disease but I don't know anything else and as you have said could be down to having PBC. If the GP has mentioned but isn't concerned then it's probably nothing to worry about and might just be one of those temporary glitches.
There are some foods that can be high in copper and mushrooms are one of them as I know.
Keep us posted on what your GP says.
My liver biopsy showed high copper levels. (My specialist said this can be a result of PBC) In fact, before I received my PBC diagnosis, the doctors thought I had Wilson's Disease. I was told to avoid high copper foods, such as: mushrooms, chocolate, nuts, shell fish, and dried fruit (I don't know why they said dried fruit but not fresh fruit). I also bought a Britta water filter to filter copper out of my drinking water (it has to be the full-sized pitcher, the smaller Britta bottles don't filter out copper). After my diagnosis was changed to PBC, my specialist said I could go back to eating copper if I wanted to.
