“In addition to affecting general cognition and memory, vitamin B12 deficiency may even lead to dementia and psychosis, suggesting a broader dependence of the brain on B12.”

Yes and why don’t the medical powers- that - be take more notice of the above facts ? I’m certain that there are many elderly people in care homes because of vitamin. B12 deficiency.
I think my poor dear mum was one of them...dementia onset at 70, which is where I feel I would be without my PA diagnosis and injections starting at age 65.
Same here . I’m absolutely convinced , now that I know so much about P.A. /B12 d . The strange gait , the pallor , the dementia . It’s too awful to think about . At the time I had no idea about B12 deficiency.
One of my symptoms was memory issues - I was misplacing things ALL the time and it became a bit of a joke for my family “mum’s misplaced her sunnies again!” and I just thought ‘well, I’m getting older and I’m quite busy so there’s just too much on my mind’. (I’m only 37!)
But a few months in to injections and wow the difference.
I have not lost anything for almost 6 months. Its scary to think that if I’d not collapsed, maybe the damage would’ve kept going and boom, early onset dementia.
Yes absolutely. And after a time , those symptoms become irreversible. So pleased that you have been rescued from the horror . Well done , it’s really great . It really is cause for great concern that the medical profession does not acknowledge these facts about B12
The first medical symptoms I had were blood pressure crisis, and MRI done to check for stroke showed 'an unusual amount of white matter for my age'.
I have still not managed to convince any medic that I have b12 deficiency, but since I began SI I have definitely experienced improvement in memory and ability to think, and concentration. It's like finding myself again. None of this would be possible if I was still relying on doctors to help me!
Massive thanks to everyone in this group for support and sharing information!
Too much B12 bound to HoloHC. The inactive B12. They say needs more research. It would be naturally occurring B12 I think as thier cohort did not supplements, as far as I can see anyway.
