Miss a dose - what symptoms?

I have been doing EOD Hydroxocobalamin for six months now. I went two days without an injection and on the second day I had a couple of feelings of brief mild anxiety followed by a hot flush. Could this be a sign my body needs the B12 EOD? What symptoms do you get if you try missing a dose?

Hi Chickens

It could be a sign, because when I miss an injection as I feel ok and think that I do not need it a common reminder that I do is I wake with unexplained anxiety in the night although I do not experience hot flushes.

I think part of the challenge of trying to reduce the frequency of injections is that we only generally have one dosage to play with ie 1mg. So when we extend the frequency of injections from every 48 hours to every 72 hours, it is quite a big change ie a 50% reduction in frequency which is a relatively large step change.

I managed to increase the frequency between injections by extending my injection "due" time by an hour or so each time and this seemed to work well for me.

It may be worth considering to see if you can work up from 48 hours to 72 hours.

I don't experience that but everyone may be different and you may have several things going on that may be indirectly exacerbated by the lack of b12.

I get stiff muscles, back pain, fatigue and brain fog typically.
