Self-injecting 2 ml EOD.

Hi Family….

Has anyone self-injected 2 ml EOD, subcutaneous? If so has there been any adverse reactions, I currently inject 1ml EOD, for about 6 months. PA brought on-by years of taking PPI’s for GERD.

In the beginning I really didn’t know what I was doing I tried, B12, strips, sprays, tablets, patches, tinctures and my GP, knew very little about PA, even though the Prescriptions for the PPI’s my GP prescribed. All tests, folate, D, homocysteine and others were in normal range and still are after nearly a year. Yet, no real improvement.

Thank God, for this site, my GP and I learned more about PA, from you fine folks than anyone!

This site convinced me and my GP to self-inject EOD, I now self-inject, 1ml, EOD, SUBCUTANEOUS.

That is why I ask if self-injecting, 2ml, EOD, could help or hurt, would speed recovery, it is sooooo slow…I thank God and this site and for all my improvement and education on PA.

I believe that injecting into fat layer ( sub -cut ) will slow down the effect . And will be released slowly . Try injecting I.M. ( into the thighs , the Vastus Lateralis muscle ) Use a 26 x 1inch needle . With this method the medication is immediately in the blood , unlike sub-cut .

I agree with wedgewood, do IM and for the reasons wedgewood specified. If you do cyano, do 1ml every day. Because I exercise more now, I do 2 shots IM a day. One in the morning and one at night. This is to spread out the doses avoid peeing out the excess.

I didn’t start heavy exercise until 2 years into it and I will deplete and have if I don’t increase my dose. I have had my kidney and liver function tested. The reason I mention that is because as long as there are not any underlying kidney or liver problems, b12 is not toxic. So you should be ok to do 2ml, but best to spread it out, perhaps try doing daily shots.

yes i think Wedgewood is right about this. I currently inject 2ml IM every other day. Sometimes every day. I have heard that it is not advised to inject so much liquid EOD but I haven’t had any problems with this … so far.

I am told by a retired medic friend that 2ml can be injected subc. but no more than 2ml.

I have always injected into muscle but recently was advised to inject SC. I found it less effective but I’m not injecting every day. Once a week atm with a view to once a month in future

That's interesting .I do both .

The only difference I find is it goes in quicker IM

But leaves quicker too !

I've been having both for over 2 years now

2ml is fine, I do either 1ml or 2ml IM. the only issue with 2ml is that it is a lot of liquid in one shot.

I believe would be better to do 1ml every day vrs 2ml EOD.

I personally wouldn't. 2ml is alot to give sc.

You can only absorb so much anyhow.

Just kerp going EOD

It takes time
